We want everyone to be able to use our website – regardless of disability, device or assistive technology. This statement applies to the website eliahgogo.com in German and English.
Compliance status
This website is largely compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA. These guidelines are also the basis of the European standard EN 301 549 and the German Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0). The content listed below is not yet fully accessible.
What we have implemented
- The entire website can be operated by keyboard, including main menus and submenus. A clearly visible focus outline shows where you are.
- A “Skip to content” link takes you directly to the main content.
- Text meets the contrast requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Every page has a clear heading structure and labelled regions (header, main content, footer), so screen readers can navigate it easily.
- Images with content have descriptive alternative text; icon links (e.g. social media) have meaningful names.
- The layout adapts to small screens from 320 pixels wide and works at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Form fields are labelled and required fields are marked.
- If you have enabled “Reduce motion” in your operating system, fade-in animations are not shown.
Content that is not accessible
- Embedded third-party content: Videos (YouTube) and music (Spotify) are embedded from external platforms. Not all videos have captions or audio description. We have no influence on the accessibility of the players themselves.
- Animations: Some sections fade in text while scrolling. In individual cases, screen readers only pick up this text once the section has been scrolled into view.
- Older content: In older blog posts, some images may only have short alternative text. We are revising these step by step.
- Easy Language and sign language: We do not currently offer information in Easy Language or German Sign Language.
