Max Pauli

Max Pauli is the artistic alter ego of Mirko Klos. For years, Mirko has been writing songs across genres – from electronic to dance and house to pop. Until now he has mostly released music as Dada Peng: songs that, like his books, deal with death and dying.

That is exactly what made it hard to branch out as an independent artist: when you engage so deeply with mortality, audiences don’t easily accept a dance track or a Schlager song from you. On top of that came the wish to release his very different songs without having to go on stage himself. That worked with various artists – but it was always challenging and time-consuming.

Max Pauli now goes on stage for him and brings to life songs that Mirko would otherwise have released himself – only in a completely different way, because he was created exactly as Mirko wants an artist to be. So his artistic work is not just songwriting and lyrics, but also the performance of Max Pauli: a total work of art from his mind, his vision and his artistic practice.
